Configuring WAN optimization on the Velocity physical appliance

You can enable and disable WAN optimization for individual network interfaces and network port bonds.

To enable WAN optimization

Log on to the Velocity shell menu.
(Optional) From the Main_Menu > Network > WANOptimization view, type the following command to verify the appliance network interfaces and bonds that are available for WAN optimization:

Status
Type the following command to enable WAN optimization for the desired network interfaces:

Enable <interface(s)>

Where <interface(s)> is a comma-separated list of network interfaces. For example:
```
Enable bond0,eth3
```
To enable WAN optimization for all network interfaces and bonds, type ALL.
```
Enable ALL
```

To disable WAN optimization

Log on to the Velocity shell menu.
(Optional) From the Main_Menu > Network > WANOptimization view, type the following command to verify the appliance network interfaces and bonds that have WAN optimization enabled:

Status
Type the following command to disable WAN optimization for the desired network interfaces:

Disable <interface(s)>

Where <interface(s)> is a comma-separated list of network interfaces. For example:
```
Disable bond0,eth3
```
To disable WAN optimization for all network interfaces and bonds, type ALL.
```
Disable ALL
```
